14 Apr Let’s Open Back Up
April 14, 2020
Hello everyone, I’m new to blogging but I think I will try it because there are many things that need to be said. Today I’m going to talk a little about our response to the coronavirus and how long should we keep in quarantine.
I think that we have done about all we can as far as trying to slow down or stop this terrible disease. I’m afraid that this will have to be one of the things that we will have to deal with far into the future. It’s started and spread and there is nothing to gain by pointing fingers at who is to blame. No matter who is to blame, they will one day have to face God with an explanation.
We have not been quarantined for about a month and it has done a lot of good. We have had time to get our supplies to our hospitals and doctors. We have stayed away from each other as best we can in order to slow the spread. Everything is working but unfortunately people are still getting sick and dying. We can only hope they can come up with a cure or vaccine of some kind.
I’m fortunate that I live in North Dakota which is sparsely populated. I think that its time for us in this state to start to go back to work. Let’s leave our schools closed for the rest of the spring and very much limit our visits to our nursing homes. The rest of us should be able to start to go back to a regular way of life. This means that we will probably keep a physical distance from others for some time yet. But we don’t need a state law to tell us. We know from experience that this works. So I favor a gradual return to what will be a new normal as we try to use our common sense.
